UPSC Engineering Services 2022 Vacancy

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced  247 vacancies UPSC Engineering Services 2022 of its official notification. The number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the UPSC Engineering Services 2022 examination is expected to be approximately 247 including  08 vacancies for the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) (06 vacancies for Locomotor Disability including Leprosy cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack victims and Muscular Dystrophy & 02 vacancies for Hard of Hearing). The number of vacancies is liable to alteration. Reservations will be made for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) as well as Persons with Benchmark Disability Category in respect of vacancies as may be fixed by the Government of India.

UPSC Engineering Services 2022 Selection Criteria
The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of –

• Engineering Services (Preliminary/Stage‐I) Examination (Objective Type Papers) for the selection of candidates for the Stage‐II : Engineering Services (Main/Stage‐II) Examination;
• Engineering Services (Main/ Stage-II) Examination (Conventional Type Papers) and
• Personality Test (Stage‐III)

UPSC Engineering Services 2022 Exam Pattern:

Preliminary/Stage‐I:

The Engineering Services (Preliminary/Stage-I) Examination will consist of two objective type (multiple choices) questions papers and carrying a maximum of 500 marks (Paper 1 – 200 Marks & Paper II – 300 Marks). Only those candidates who are declared by the Commission to have qualified in the Preliminary/Stage-I Examination in the year will be eligible for admission to the Main/StageII Examination of that year provided they are otherwise eligible for admission to the Main/Stage-II Examination.

Main/ Stage-II:

The Engineering Services (Main/stage-II) Examination will consist of two conventional type papers in Engineering Discipline specific with a duration of three hours and maximum marks of 600 (300 Marks in each paper).

Personality Test (Stage‐III)

Those candidates who will clear both papers have to be called for an Interview to test the personality of the person. This personality test will be of 200 Marks. The candidate has to ensure their attendance as it is mandatory to attend the interview. The marks of the interview will be included in making a merit list.

UPSC Engineering Services 2022  Exam Date

Preliminary/Stage‐I  Examination of the Engineering  Services  Examination for recruitment will be held by the Union  Public  Service Commission on 20th February 2022.

UPSC Engineering Services 2022 Result

As soon as the written exam and interview process will be completed, Commission will release UPSC Engineering Services 2022 on its official Website. The Merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in  Mains exam and interview.
